Abstract

An embodiment of the invention provides a method, a separation point device, a user terminal and a system for data transmission. The method includes updating connection contextual information, which is corresponding to services on a first air interface, of the user terminal which is connected to a core network through a first access network by the first air interface when the first air interface is unavailable; sending a first message which carries updating information related to the updated connection contextual information to the user terminal, and using the first message for allowing the user terminal to update the connection contextual information currently corresponding to the services on the first air interface to acquire updated connection contextual information according to the updating information; and performing data transmission according to the updated connection contextual information and the user terminal. By the use of the method, the separation point device, the user terminal and the system for data transmission, interruption of all the services corresponding to the data transmission by the first air interface when the first air interface is unavailable is avoided, continuity of the services is guaranteed as far as possible, and accordingly communication experience of users can be improved.
