Problems solved by technology

[0004] The disadvantages of the prior art are: when the backup server is backing up data, the data in the virtual tape cannot be imported into the physical tape, which greatly reduces the available time for data operation; after the data in the virtual tape has been imported into the physical tape, When new data is added to the virtual tape or the original data is changed, the data in the entire tape must be re-imported to the physical tape, that is, incremental import or differential import cannot be realized
After the data import is complete, when the backup server writes data to the physical tape through the virtual tape again, in order to ensure the consistency between the data to be backed up in the production server and the data in the physical tape, the command forwarding method can be used, that is, the virtual tape After receiving the write data request from the backup server, the request is directly forwarded to the physical tape, and the virtual tape itself no longer writes data. This command forwarding operation reduces the performance of data backup

Abstract

The invention relates to a method, a device and a system for importing data into a physical tape. The method includes receiving a data writing request transmitted by a backup server; writing target data into a virtual data block of a virtual tape, and judging whether data are stored in the virtual data block before the target data are written into the virtual data block of the virtual tape or not; generating a virtual block number of the virtual data block written with the target data if the data are not stored in the virtual data block before the target data are written into the virtual data block of the virtual tape; and recording the virtual block number in a preset mapping table. Accordingly, the target data can be imported into the physical tape according to the virtual block number. The data writing request carries the target data. The method, the device and the system have the advantage that the data in the virtual tape can be imported into the physical tape in a differential importing mode or an incremental importing mode according to the mapping table.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of network applications, in particular to a method, device and system for importing data into physical tapes. Background technique [0002] The virtual tape library (Virtual Tape Library, VTL) technology is essentially a disk array hardware device, which supports data backup and restoration close to the limit speed of the disk array. Since the data organization logic of the VTL is completely consistent with that of the physical tape, the data in the virtual tape can be imported to the physical tape, or the virtual tape can be used as a write cache for physical tape backup. [0003] Under the existing technology, a method of combining tape duplication and command forwarding can be used to implement a write cache using a virtual tape as a backup of a physical tape. Among them, the implementation process is as follows: the backup server backs up the data to the virtual tape; after the backup is completed, the virtual ta...
