Abstract

The invention discloses a method for exchanging and synchronizing data among homogenous and heterogenous DBMSs (database management systems) on the basis of an active database technology. The method is used for conveniently and efficiently exchanging and synchronizing data among homogenous and heterogenous databases. The method includes steps of determining data environments of a source end and a target end with data to be synchronized; determining a corresponding relation between the data of the target end and the data of the source end; creating an initialization table and a log table in a database of the source end; forming corresponding operating commands in the database of the source end by the aid of data required for synchronization initialization in a storage process, and writing the operating commands into the created initialization table; creating inserting, modifying and deleting triggers on tables related to the source end with the data to be synchronized, splicing the synchronization operating commands required to be executed at the target end into character strings whenever the data change, and using the character strings as values of fields of operating commands of the log table to form a record in the log table; and exchanging and synchronizing the data. The operating commands are executed at the target end.
