The method includes the steps that the ActiveX control returns a preset result of an interface to a host container; the ActiveX control acquires a current page address of the host container; the ActiveX control sends a verification request to an authentication server based on the acquired current page address; the authentication server verifies whether a current page is credible and returns a result to the ActiveX control; the ActiveX control determines whether the ActiveX control is allowed to be used continuously by the current page according to the returned result; and if the current page is credible, the ActiveX control is allowed to be used continuously by the current page, and if the current page is incredible, the ActiveX control is not allowed to be used continuously by the current page. The invention further provides a system for preventing the tampering of the usage of the ActiveX control, and the system can be used for realizing the method.
