In the assembled state of the clamping roller flywheel, the pinion 20 protrudes freely on one side. The pinion 20 is connected to the spline profile 24 via a cylindrical collar portion. On the adjacent end portion, it has a threaded end to which a fixing device (not shown in the figure) can be attached, which holds the pinch roller flywheel together and closes it. Abstract

A pinch roller flywheel suitable for an adjustment device in a motor vehicle comprises a cylindrical jacket surface defining an axis (22); at least one pair of rollers; an output shaft concentric with the axis (22); a clamping member (30) which can is rotatably connected to said output shaft and has at least one inclined clamping surface (32) on the opposite side of the pair of rollers with respect to the cylindrical sheath surface; and spacer means at least partially located between two rollers of the pair of rollers and having elastic properties. The spacing device includes a spacer (44) and a spring (54). A spacer (44) arranged between the two rollers is movable between a normal position and a retracted position in a direction of movement (70) extending transversely with respect to the circumferential direction and has at least one inclined surface (46). The inclined surface (46) bears against the rollers when the spacer (44) is in the normal position. A spring (54) urges the spacer (44) to a normal position in which the spacer (44) exerts a force in a circumferential direction on the at least one roller. When reaching the retracted position from the normal position, the inclined surface moves away from the rollers.
