The invention discloses a detection device and a detection method of a road longitudinal slope based on the accelerator pedal position and the vehicle speed. The detection device is composed of a micro controller unit, a rotary encoder, an optoelectronic isolator and a serial port output module. The detection method comprises the following steps: detecting the accelerator pedal position by means of the rotary encoder which is installed on an accelerator pedal shaft according to the speed change of a vehicle when the vehicle runs on the slope pavement, and calculating real-time vehicle traction; and sampling the vehicle speed and calculating the accelerated speed of the vehicle by means of the speed difference of the adjacent sampling instants and the sampling period. Due to the facts that signals are processed by means of the micro controller unit, the sum of the rolling friction force and the weight component containing information of the slope angle can be obtained by means of joint force, traction force and air resistance when the vehicle runs, and the road slope angle can be estimated. The detection device and the detection method of the road longitudinal slope based on the accelerator pedal position and the vehicle speed has the advantages that the change of the vehicle is small, the cost is low, only the accelerator pedal position and the speed of the vehicle are needed to be detected, the method is simple and convenient, and the misjudgment rate is low.
