The method is used for separating a solvent gas mixture when a transformer performs online gas chromatography monitoring on insulating oil. The method mainly utilizes chromatographic columns of GDX-502 and GDX-501 and stationary phases of 5A and 13X respectively. The stationary phases are filled into two stainless steel column tubes with different lengths based on a certain proportion respectively, and stainless steel meshes or quartz glass cotton is used for sealing and plugging two ends of each chromatographic column, and the two columns are formed through activation at different temperatures respectively.
