Abstract

The invention discloses a video detecting method aims at vehicles which enter into a jammed intersection by force. The video detecting method includes the following steps. A state of an overflow detection area of an intersection ahead is monitored based on obtained video image data. Positions and dwell time of all vehicles shown in the video image data are tracked and recorded in a real time mode. When the state of the overflow detection area is a vehicle overflowing state, vehicles which exceed a parking line of a vehicle detecting area are labeled as suspected peccant vehicles. A traffic state of the current road is confirmed based on the obtained video image data. When the traffic state of the current road is a jammed state, the suspected peccant vehicles which reach peccancy standards are labeled as peccant vehicles. In terms of each peccant vehicle, multiple images which represent a peccancy process of the peccant vehicle are extracted from the obtained video image data. With the video detecting method, peccant vehicles which enter into a jammed intersection by force can be effectively photographed.
