The tuning rods are oppositely arranged on the other two side walls of the cavity body respectively. Each L-shaped tuning rod comprises a horizontal segment and a vertical segment, wherein the horizontal segment is vertical to the side walls of the cavity body and extends into the cavity body and the vertical segment is arranged in the cavity body and vertically connected at the tail end of the horizontal segment. The invention further relates to a method for tuning the resonance cavity. By arranging the L-shaped tuning rods on the cavity body, the tuning rods and the cavity body form a ring shape so as to form a magnetic field vertical to the plane of the ring shape and exert perturbation on an electromagnetic field and especially the magnetic field in the resonance cavity.
