Abstract

The tester comprises a charging basket, a mixing shaft and a torque wrench, wherein a barrel cover is arranged on the top of the charging basket; a feeding hole is formed in the barrel cover; the mixing shaft is rotationally connected with the barrel cover through a bearing; the upper end of the mixing shaft is connected with the torque wrench through a conversion joint; the lower end of the mixing shaft penetrates through the barrel cover and stretches into the charging basket; a mixing blade is arranged at the lower end of the mixing shaft; the torque wrench is a digital display type torque wrench or a pointer type torque wrench. The invention also discloses a method for testing the workability index of the bituminous mixture by utilizing the tester. The method comprises the following steps: 1, adding the bituminous mixture into the charging basket; 2, calibrating the torque wrench; 3, rotating the torque wrench to obtain a torque value; and 4, calculating to obtain the workability index of the bituminous mixture by utilizing the torque value.
