The device comprises a high-speed video camera, an image acquisition card, an upper computer, a position mark module and a display screen; the high-speed video camera is connected with the image acquisition card by a video signal line, an output end of the image acquisition card is connected with the upper computer, the position mark module comprises a cap, a jacket and three mark color blocks, three mark modules are respectively positioned on the cap and left and right shoulders of the jacket, pixel blocks corresponding to the mark color blocks are extracted from a video processed by a master control program in the upper computer, and are counted, two pixel blocks are contained in an image instead of the original three pixel blocks when the human head turns by an angle larger than 45 degrees, the human head turning frequency is obtained by the aid of variation of the quantity of the pixel blocks, and detection results are displayed on the display screen.
