Embodiment Construction

[0011] The first communication device and the second communication device may comprise, for example, part of a wideband code division multiple access (WCDMA) communication system. The second communication device transmits the early termination indicator to the first communication device in various ways. For example, after receiving each Q piece of the data block, where Q is a positive integer, the second communication device may determine whether it has collected enough pieces of the data block for decoding. If the answer is yes, the second communication device may send an acknowledgement (ACK) message to the first communication device; otherwise, the second communication device may send a negative acknowledgement (NACK) message to the first communication device. Each block can be a segment of 2560 slices; each ACK acknowledgment can be treated as a positive early termination indicator; each NACK negative acknowledgment can be treated as a negative early termination indicator....

Abstract

The invention provides a telecommunications method to be performed by a first telecommunications device while trying to transmit a data block to a second telecommunications device. According to the embodiment, the first telecommunications device determines whether a first set of early termination criteria is satisfied. Then, if the first set of early termination criteria is satisfied, the first telecommunications device further determines whether a second set of early termination criteria is satisfied. The second set of early termination criteria is different from the first set of early termination criteria. If both the first set of early termination criteria and the second set of early termination criteria are satisfied before the first telecommunications device finishes transmitting the data block, the first telecommunications device reduces a transmission power.

Description

【Technical field】 [0001] The present invention relates to a communication method, in particular to a communication method for early termination reliability of transmissions. 【Background technique】 [0002] Communication channels are often noisy and unreliable. Therefore, if the first communication device transmits the M-bit data to the second communication device without any protection measures, the second communication device may not be able to restore some of the M-bit data correctly. [0003] To address this and other problems, the two communication devices may use methods to protect data. For example, the first communication device may encode M bits of data into N bits of data allowing error correction, where M and N are positive integers and N is greater than M. Then, the first communication device may transmit N-bit data, instead of M-bit data, to the second communication device. Even if the second communication device erroneously recovers some of the N-bit data, th...
