Provided is a seat structural member and a vehicle seat using the same in which components of a reclining mechanism can be covered, a good-quality external appearance can be maintained in the vehicle seat, and the number of components can be reduced. An attachment part (102), which is formed in an L-shape when seen in plan view, is integrally formed with a lower coupling fixing part (50) provided at the outer side in the seat width direction of a resin seat backboard (16). A side airbag device (100) is attached to a lateral wall part (122) of the attachment part (102). A seat back pad and a cover are mounted onto the seat backboard (16) configured as described above, and are assembled with a seat back frame (14) and a side frame (26).
