The method includes: 1, searching for and determining location of a road traffic light where a vehicle locates, and performing a step 2; 2, calculating change time gap t_g of the road traffic light where the vehicle locates, and performing a step 3; 3, comparing the time time-gap required for the vehicle to reach a warning line and the change time gap t_g, and judging whether the current vehicle is about to violate the traffic signal light or not; if yes, executing automatic emergency braking; if not, determining that the current vehicle does not violate the traffic light. The system comprises an automatic emergency bake controller, a vehicular camera, a vehicle electronic stability control system, and a wireless communication transceiving device, wherein the vehicular camera and the vehicle electronic stability control system are connected with the automatic emergency brake controller respectively through buses.
