The method comprises the following steps that a terminal device periodically obtains file structure indexing information of a file stored at a cloud end by a network and locally establishes a directory structure which is the same as the directory structure at the cloud end; when the file stored at the cloud end is to be operated locally at the terminal device according to the established directory structure, a file content request is sent to the cloud end, the file content sent by the cloud end is received and cached locally for operation; after operation, the terminal device records change of the file structure indexing information, caused by local operation, and sends the changed file structure indexing information to the cloud end; and the cloud end receives the changed file structure indexing information and synchronizes the file and the directory structure at the cloud end according to the information.
