Abstract

The invention provides a method of achieving in-phase SOC balance for an MMC battery energy storage system by increasing and decreasing modules. The method comprises the steps of first collecting SOC information and charge and discharge states of energy storage batteries, that is, collecting, through a battery management system, SOC information of energy storage batteries of different power modules and charge and discharge states of the system at the time; and then adjusting working states of the power modules in one phase, that is, adjusting a mandatory access or bypass time period duty ratio of corresponding power modules according to different states of a PCS system and sizes of SOCs of the energy storage batteries of the power modules in the phase. Taking the MMC battery energy storage system as an object, the method provided by the invention controls the mandatory access or bypass time of the power modules in one phase to achieve the purpose of SOC balance of energy storage batteries in the phase.
