Abstract

The invention relates to the technical field of plastic modification, and particularly relates to a special polypropylene (PP) composite material for a high-performance automobile instrument and a preparation method thereof. The special PP composite material is prepared from the following components by weight percent: 45-75% of PP, 15-25% of talcum powder, 12-20% of flexibilizer, 0.3-0.6% of coupling agent, 0.3-0.5% of antioxidant, 0.1-0.3% of weather resistance agent, and 0.3-0.5% of lubricating agent. The PP is a mixture of copolymerized PP and homopolymerized PP, and the weight ratio is (1-4):1. The preparation method comprises the steps of mixing, extruding and injection molding. The PP composite material provided by the invention has high anti-blasting strength, can meet the operating requirements of medium and high grade cars, and is applicable to being used as a special material for the high-performance automobile instrument.
