Abstract

The invention provides an electronic device for playing audio files. The electronic device is configured with an Android system. The electronic device comprises a receiving unit, a detection unit, a judgment unit, an audio decoding unit and a playing control unit; the detection unit acquires the sampling rate and sampling precision of audio streams which are requested to be played and received by the receiving unit; when the judgment unit determines that the sampling rate and sampling precision are not preset sampling rate and sampling precision, the audio decoding unit decodes the audio streams and adjusts decoded information to decoded information which accords with a preset transmission format; and the playing control unit plays the audio streams according to the adjusted decoded information and a first playing mode. The invention also provides a method for playing the audio files.
