Embodiment 1a

[0164] A shaft having the same laminated structure as the aforementioned shaft 6 is produced. That is, making a image 3 Shafts of sheet construction are shown. The manufacturing method is the same as that of the shaft 6 described above. The trade names of the prepregs used for the respective sheets are as follows. Sheet s1 is a glass fiber reinforced prepreg. Except for the sheet s1, it is a carbon fiber reinforced prepreg. The flake s4 is a pitch-containing butt portion flake.

Embodiment 2a、3a and comparative example 1a

[0182] Using the above-mentioned adjustment means as appropriate, Examples 2a, 3a and Comparative Example 1a having the specifications shown in Table 2 described later were obtained. Also, in Example 3a, the sheet s6 was replaced by the full-length hoop layer, and the weight increase due to the replacement was offset by reducing the resin content of other prepregs. Others were the same as in Example 1a to obtain shafts and golf clubs of Examples 2a, 3a and Comparative Example 1a.

Embodiment 1b

Abstract

A shaft 6 includes full length layers provided wholly in a longitudinal direction of the shaft, and a tip end partial layer provided on a tip part of the shaft. The full length layers include a bias layer and a straight layer. The tip end partial layer includes an inner glass fiber reinforced layer. When a full length of the shaft is defined as Ls, and a distance between a tip end of the shaft and a center of gravity G of the shaft is defined as Lg, a ratio (Lg / Ls) is equal to or greater than 0.52 and equal to or less than 0.65. A weight of the shaft is equal to or less than 65 g. Preferably, the inner glass fiber reinforced layer is positioned inside the bias layer.

Description

[0001] This application claims priority based on Japanese Patent Application No. 2012-229840 filed on October 17, 2012. The entire contents of this Japanese application are hereby incorporated by reference. technical field [0002] The present invention relates to a golf club shaft. Background technique [0003] A so-called carbon shaft is known as a shaft for golf clubs. As a method of manufacturing this carbon shaft, there is known a sheet winding process. In this sheet winding process, a laminated structure is obtained by winding a prepreg around a mandrel. [0004] Prepregs contain resin and fibers. There are many kinds of prepregs. Various types of prepregs having different resin contents are known. In addition, in this application, a prepreg is called a prepreg sheet or a sheet. [0005] In the sheet winding process, the type of sheet, the arrangement of the sheet, and the orientation of the fibers can be selected. [0006] Japanese Patent No. 3317619 discloses ...
