Abstract

The invention discloses a liquid crystal composition for a quick response TFT-LCD (Thin Film Transistor-Liquid Crystal Display). The liquid crystal composition comprises 1-4wt% of compound as shown in a general formula I, 1-70wt% of compound as shown in a general formula II, 1-70wt% of compound as shown in a general formula III, 0-40wt% of compound as shown in a general formula IV and 0-40wt% of compound as shown in a general formula V by mass percent, and also an optical-activity component, wherein the addition amount of the optical-activity component is lower than 0.2% of the sum of the weights of the liquid crystal compounds as shown in general formulae I, II, III, IV and V and not zero. The liquid crystal composition is low in rotary viscosity, high in response speed, appropriate in positive dielectric anisotropy, and especially applicable to manufacturing quick-response active matrix TN-TFT and IPS-TFT (In-Plane Switching-Liquid Crystal Display) liquid crystal display elements and liquid crystal displays.
