The embodiment of the invention provides a channel estimation method and device so as to solve a problem, which exists in the prior art, that channel estimation is performed according to independent judgment of each path so that channel estimation performance under a conventional low signal-to-noise ratio scenery is reduced. The method includes the following steps: judging whether a historical channel and a current channel are approximate; according to the judgment result, obtaining a signal path position; and according to the signal path position, obtaining a current time-domain channel estimation value. The method uses the channel estimation or the derivative information of the channel estimation as a whole to further improve a judgment under a noise environment, related with whether a scenery is a mutation scenery, so that a probability of error activation of non-signal paths is reduced and the accuracy of the channel estimation is improved.
