Abstract

The method involves acquiring load information of a neighboring wireless local area network by cellular network access equipment, wherein the heterogeneous network is composed of the cellular network and the wireless local area network; according to the load information of the wireless local area network, determining the load condition of the wireless local area network; and according to the load condition of the wireless local area network, configuring user equipment corresponding to the wireless local area network to perform switching or routing, thereby achieving load balancing of the heterogeneous network.
