Abstract

The invention provides a peripheral structure of an electrical component installing unit for installing an electrical component to a roof panel. One side portion (2S) of a roof panel (2) is inclined, and the side portion becomes lower as reaches to the outside (W2) in a vehicle transverse direction,an insertion hole (2H) is formed in the side portion (2S), above a vehicle opening portion, of the roof panel (2), a retaining device (4) is disposed at the rear side of a peripheral edge portion of the insertion hole (2H), an electrical component is inserted into the insertion hole (2H), a locking portion disposed in the electrical component is locked at an locked portion intended in the holding means (4), and a drainage channel (2M) which extends along the peripheral edge portion of the insertion hole (2H) and is formed in the rear of the side portion (2S) of the roof panel (2) which is located (2S) of the roof panel (2) in the direction of inclination of the side portion.
