Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card connector with a lock mechanism which can be reduced in height.SOLUTION: A card connector 100 comprises: a housing 1 with which a slot is formed into which a card is inserted, and which includes a connection terminal 2 connectable to the card; a slide member 3 which is slid and moved within the housing 1 in an insertion direction of the card together with the card and includes a heart cam groove 3a which is opened upwards; an energizing member 4 for energizing the slide member 3 in an ejection direction of the card; and a latch pin 5 which is partially moved within the heart cam groove 3a with the sliding movement of the slide member 3 and capable of holding the slide member 3 at a lock positive relative to the housing 1 against an energizing force of the energizing member 4. The slide member 3 is formed from a synthetic resin material in which a metal plate 3b is embedded, and an inner bottom face of a deepest part 3c with a maximum depth in the heart cam groove 3a is formed from a top face of the metal plate 3a exposed from the synthetic resin material.
