The electronic device connected with an image source device includes a trigger device and a storage device. The real-time image recording system is composed of an image input module, a scene detection module, a temporary storage module, a trigger module and a storage module. According to the system, scene changing detection can be executed continuously on image segments inputted by the image source device in real time; and according to the interest of a user, scene segments in a certain range are stored and contents of the scene segments in an image buffer region are updated continuously. When the user is interested into one certain scene segment, an image recording event is triggered to store the scene segment to the storage device from the image buffer region, so that the user can carry out subsequent processing and application conveniently.
