Abstract

The invention discloses a method for toughening processing of 5-mm toughened glass. The method comprises the following steps: horizontally placing glass on a roller way, delivering the glass to a passage-type toughening furnace by virtue of the roller way, and performing heat treatment in sequence section by section; cooling the glass by adopting high-pressure blast until the surface temperature of the glass is 260-280 DEG C; cooling the glass for 3-5 minutes by adding the glass into a 12-15% potassium nitrate glycerol solution of which the temperature is 155-165 DEG C; treating the glass for 4-6 minutes by adding the glass into glycerol of which the temperature is 220-230 DEG C; and taking out the glass and cooling the glass to room temperature by using water fog of which the temperature is 55-65 DEG C. According to the method disclosed by the invention, the surface stress distribution of the glass is adjusted by adopting section-by-section heating and cooling treatment to ensure flatness of the toughened glass, and by virtue of the treatments with the potassium nitrate glycerol solution, glycerol and water fog, the toughened degree of the surface of the glass is increased, the probability of spontaneous detonation of the glass during cooling is reduced, the yield of the toughened glass is increased, and requirements on performance indexes of the toughened glass are met.
