The method comprises the following steps: receiving a navigation request, and programming a path according to the navigation request to obtain a target path; acquiring highway section information corresponding to the highway section when a monitored navigation vehicle is driven to the highway section if the target path includes the highway section; and switching the navigation mode from a map navigation mode to a high speed navigation mode, wherein the high speed navigation mode is the full screen display of all the highway section information on a navigation device screen.
