Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a navigation method and an apparatus thereof to solve a technical problem of unclear display of navigation information of a navigation device on a highway section. The method comprises the following steps: receiving a navigation request, and programming a path according to the navigation request to obtain a target path; acquiring highway section information corresponding to the highway section when a monitored navigation vehicle is driven to the highway section if the target path includes the highway section; and switching the navigation mode from a map navigation mode to a high speed navigation mode, wherein the high speed navigation mode is the full screen display of all the highway section information on a navigation device screen. When the navigation vehicle is driven to the highway section, the navigation mode is switched to the high speed navigation mode, that is, all the highway section information is displayed on the navigation device screen in an all-screen manner in order to visually and clearly display the highway section information, and it is convenient for a user to check the highway section information of the highway section.
