The invention discloses an electronic device combination, which comprises an electronic device with an audio interface and an infrared transmitting device. The electronic device comprises a processing module; the processing module is used for coding a control command inputted to the electronic device and loading the command to an audio file in the electronic device; the infrared transmitting device comprises an audio plug; the audio plug of the infrared transmitting device is plugged in the audio interface of the electronic device so as to enable the audio file loaded with the control command to be transmitted to the infrared transmitting device from the electronic device; the infrared transmitting device receives the audio file loaded with the control command and decodes the control command in the audio file; and the infrared transmitting device transmits the control command after decoding to infrared receiving equipment in an infrared signal form. The invention also discloses a using method for the electronic device combination.
