Abstract

The precision casting process includes following steps: a) coating the surface of a wax die with a first surface layer; b) dip-coating the surface of the wax die by a slurry liquid prepared from zirconium powder and a silica sol binder, wherein the viscosity number of the slurry liquid is 35-40 s; and c) performing manual sand floatation on the dip-coated surface of the wax die with zirconium sand in 120 meshes, and cleaning residual slurry liquid and zirconium sand on an iron sheet blade. The precision casting process combines the advantages of both precision casting and sand casting process, thereby achieving the precision casting process of large castings.
