Abstract

The invention discloses an apparatus simulating the motion of particles in engine cylinders. The apparatus comprises an axial eddy blade, an adjustable-speed motor, a filter screen, a simulated piston, a height adjusting rod, a height adjusting nut, and an image acquiring system. The adjustable-speed motor is fixed to a top cover plate through a fixing bolt and transfers power to the axial eddy blade through a coupling shaft. Axial eddy is generated in a simulated cylinder made of a transparent material. The top of the simulated cylinder is connected with the top cover plate through a bolt. The bottom of the simulated cylinder is connected with a support through a bolt. The position of the simulated piston is changed by the adjustment of the height adjusting nut. The apparatus may approximately simulate the motion of particles in a simulated cylinder, simulates the motion states between single particles in different strokes of an engine, reveals a rule of particle growth, provides a reference for inhibiting particle generation, and achieves a purpose of reducing particle discharge.
