Abstract

[Problem] To provide a colored low-polarization film, a method for manufacturing the film, a low-polarization sheet comprising the film, and a polarization lens formed by molding the sheet, the colored low-polarization film having a colortone or transmittance that does not change significantly in a processing step and having a colortone that can be more freely selected. [Solution] A polarization film formed of a polyvinyl alcohol resin film that has been swollen with water, uniaxially stretched, dyed with a dichroic dye and dried; a polarization sheet obtained by attaching aromatic polycarbonate sheets on both surfaces of the polarization film interposed by adhesion layers, and either a curved polarization lens obtained by curving the polarization sheet into a spherical surface or a non-spherical surface or an injection-molded polarization lens obtained by curving the polarization sheet into a spherical surface or a non-spherical surface and injection-molding an aromatic polycarbonate on the recess surface of the spherical or non-spherical surface, wherein the low-polarization film, which is colored to a desired color, is characterized in having a polarization degree of 45 to 90% and in being obtained using a dichroic organic dye composition and a coloration organic dye composition. The dichroic organic dye composition is made of a combination of dichroic organic dyes used as the dichroic organic dye for manufacturing the polarization film and having a dichroic ratio of 13 or higher, the dichroic organic dye composition being used in an amount that keeps the polarization degree in a range of 30% to less than 90%. The coloration organic dye composition is made of a combination of dyes having an extremely low dichroic ratio of 4 or less or substantially having no dichroic ratio, and is used in an amount yielding a desired dyed color.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a coloring that exhibits adjusted total light transmittance and adjusted low polarization degree as sunglasses, can select a wider range of color tones, and has little change in color tone and transmittance in the process of processing into sunglasses, etc. Low polarizing films, tinted low polarizing sheets and lenses, and methods for their manufacture. Background technique [0002] Typically, a polarizing plate is used in which iodine or a dichroic organic dye is adsorbed or impregnated into a uniaxially stretched polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) film (hereinafter, appropriately referred to as a PVA polarizing film). The polarizing film usually uses a transparent resin such as triacetyl cellulose as a protective layer on one side (or both sides), which is easy to handle and suitable for secondary processing, and can be made into a cheap and lightweight polarizing plate. [0003] On both sides of a polarizing film obtained by s...
