Abstract

The present invention discloses a server integration oriented high efficiency physical machine to virtual machine (P2V) conversion method. The method can minimize a failure time in a P2V conversion process, and comprises: (1) designing a local P2V conversion method, wherein a physical server is converted into a local virtual server by configuring a corresponding virtual key, the local virtual server shares underlying hardware resources of the source physical server, thereby avoiding a time consuming magnetic disk copying and synchronization process in a conventional P2V conversion method; (2) a magnetic disk synchronization module, wherein a virtual machine image is initialized on a remote virtualization platform, the mirror image is synchronized with a mirror image of the local virtual server, magnetic disk copying is performed during operation of the local virtual machine, implicit magnetic disk synchronization is performed during the magnetic disk copying, and this process does not bring about any service failure time; and (3) a virtual machine migration module, where online virtual machine migration can minimize negative effect on the local virtual machine.
