The invention provides a converter valve operation test commutation angle adjusting device. The commutation angle adjusting device is composed of three electric reactors in parallel. One end of each electric reactor is connected with a wire outlet of a transformer. The other end of each electric reactor is connected with an alternating current wire inlet of a rectifier bridge. The electric reactor has at least two groups of taps. The electric reactors with different inductance values are selected through adjustment of the taps of the electric reactor to be in series connection in the commutation loop of the rectifier bridge, and therefore commutation angles needed by converter valve operation tests with different voltage grades are obtained. The invention also discloses a converter valve operation test commutation angle adjusting method. The commutation angle adjusting device carrying out a converter valve operation test by utilization of a synthesis test loop achieves grading adjustment of a commutation angle through adjustment of an inductance value of an electric reactor with a plurality of groups of taps. The adjustment method is simple and practical, and therefore the commutation angle meets engineering practice during the converter valve operation test.
