The apparatus comprises a first voltage detection module used for detecting the input voltage of the PFC circuit; a current detection module used for detecting the input current of the PFC circuit; a second voltage detection module used for detecting the output voltage of the PFC circuit; and a protecting module generating a first comparison result, a second comparison result and a third comparison result according to the input voltage, the input current and the output voltage, respectively controlling the PFC circuit and a motor according to the first comparison result and the second comparison result and controlling the frequency-conversion household equipment to be power off and shut down according to the third comparison result. The protecting apparatus can guarantee continuous running with no shutdown when a voltage suddenly rises and the input current is less than a first current threshold value.
