[0039] figure 1 is a schematic diagram showing the 3D space remote controller according to the first embodiment. The system 100 includes a remote control 110 capable of periodically sending RF trigger signals and synchronously receiving ultrasonic signals. Ultrasonic emitters 120, 122, 124, 126 are located at different positions around the television screen 115, and they are located in the same plane. A cursor 140 is displayed on the television screen 115 . According to this embodiment, the position of the remote controller 110 is used to determine the position of the display cursor 140 . Convert the motion status and motion trajectory information of the space remote controller into the motion and trajectory of the screen cursor, so as to control the cursor remotely.

[0052] figure 2 is a schematic diagram showing a system 200 according to the second embodiment. The system 200 includes a remote controller 210, and the remote controller 210 can periodically send an RF signal and a plurality of ultrasonic signals. It can also be said that the remote controller 210 sends a plurality of ultrasonic signals corresponding to the periodic RF signal. Ultrasonic receivers 220 , 222 , 224 , 226 are configured to receive ultrasonic signals from remote control 210 and are positioned at various locations around television screen 215 . The ultrasonic receivers 220, 222, 224, 226 are also configured to send electrical signals converted from the ultrasonic signals to a controller, such as for a television and / or set-top box. A cursor 240 is displayed on the television screen 215 . According to this embodiment, the position of the remote controller 210 is used to determine the position of the display cursor 240 .

Abstract

The invention describes a method for controlling a cursor, a remote controller and a smart television. The method for controlling the cursor comprises the following steps: synchronously transmitting a plurality of ultrasonic signals in response to a trigger signal by a plurality of ultrasonic emitters positioned in the remote controller; receiving the ultrasonic signals by a plurality of ultrasonic receivers positioned at different positions in the same plane respectively; determining a distance passed by each ultrasonic signal based on the transit time between the transmission time and the arrival time of each ultrasonic signal, and determining the position of the remote controller based on the distance passed by each ultrasonic signal; and displaying the cursor on a screen based on the position of the remote controller. Thus, the cursor on the screen is controlled by means of the motion of the remote controller.

Description

technical field [0001] Various embodiments generally relate to smart TV systems, methods, devices and computer programs, and more specifically relate to a human-computer interaction interface and remote motion control technology. Background technique [0002] With the continuous development of TV networking functions and the gradual shift to the era of smart TVs, the development of new human-machine interfaces and remote controls has continued. [0003] The business that continues to grow with the networking function makes the list selection more complicated. The traditional menu featuring the functions of up, down, left, right and OK key has become unable to meet the needs of normal use, but providing an overly complicated menu may lead to failure of the remote control. Operation is cumbersome and slow. So far, with the joint efforts of many TV manufacturers and brands, there have been three common HMI solutions: voice recognition, gesture recognition, and motion sensing. ...
