Pneumatic tire
A technology for pneumatic tires and tires, which is applied to the reinforcement layer of pneumatic tires, tire parts, tire tread/tread pattern, etc., and can solve the problems of reduced tire flat rate, increased tire diameter, and reduced tire durability. Achieves the effects of reducing crushing force, securing durability, and improving steering stability

The tread of a pneumatic tire is provided with: at least one tilted belt layer which is formed by covering cords with rubber, the cords being arranged parallel to each other and extending tilted relative to the circumferential direction of the tread; and at least one circumferential belt layer which is located on the inside of the tilted belt layer in the radial direction of the tire and which is formed by covering cords with rubber, the cords being arranged parallel to each other and extending in the circumferential direction of the tread. The treading surface of the tread is provided with: circumferential grooves which extend in the circumferential direction of the tread; and shoulder-side land sections which are each defined between each of the outermost circumferential grooves in the width direction of the tire and the corresponding one of the ground contact ends of the tread. The pneumatic tire is characterized in that positions on the treading surface of the tread, the positions corresponding to the outermost ends of the circumferential belt layer in the width direction of the tire, are located within the shoulder-side land sections, and in that the distance, measured in the width direction of the tire, between each of the outermost ends of the circumferential belt layer in the width direction of the tire and the tire equator-side end of the corresponding one of the shoulder-side land sections is in the range of 12% to 22%, inclusive, of the half the width of the circumferential belt layer in the width direction of the tire.
Description
technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire, and more particularly, to a pneumatic tire suitable for heavy-duty vehicles such as trucks and buses. In particular, the present invention relates to a tire that enables improved handling stability by increasing the lateral force acting on the tire when a run angle is applied to the tire. Background technique [0002] In recent years, flattened tires have been developed mainly to improve the lateral rigidity of the tires as the performance of vehicles has increased. On the other hand, the decrease in the aspect ratio of the tire increases the diameter of the tire when the load rotates, and induces separation at the end of the tire belt, thereby reducing the durability of the tire. [0003] As a technique for suppressing an increase in the diameter of a tire, it is known to provide one or more circumferential belt layers obtained by covering cords extending substantially in the tread circumferential di...
