Abstract

A filter cartridge for a machine for the preparation of beverages comprises an outer housing extending predominantly axially to house filtering material, a connecting extremity to a reservoir of the machine, an inlet for the introduction of water which has to be filtered and an outlet for the discharge of filtered water. A tubular body is housed within the outer housing in such a way as to separate the inlet and the outlet in the vicinity of the connecting extremity and to define a filtration path which places the inlet and the outlet in communication. The filter cartridge further comprises a plurality of partition elements which extend radially from the tubular body towards the outer housing.
