The invention discloses a remote control method which comprises the following steps of executing a user pupil focusing operation according to a remote control startup instruction input by a user, and establishing a coordinate system which uses the pupil-mass-center location of the user as an origin; periodically obtaining the eye image of the user per frame according to a set time interval, and determining the coordinate value of the pupil-mass-center location in the eye image per frame; determining the change of the pupil-mass-center location of the user according to the coordinate value in a time order, and determining a key value corresponding to the change of the pupil-mass-center location according to a first correspondence relationship; sending the key value to a controlled terminal, and enabling the controlled terminal to determine and execute a corresponding remote control instruction according to a preset second correspondence relationship between the key value and the remote control instruction.
