The business mapping processing method of the optical transport network comprises following steps: generating mapping adaptation indication information according to a mapping granularity, which has M*g bytes, of a to-be-borne low-order optical channel data unit LO ODU, wherein M is a number of time gaps occupied by the to-be-borne LO ODU in an optical channel payload unit OPUCn, g is the size of the mapping granularity corresponding to each time gap in the time gaps occupied by the LO ODU, and g is a positive integer greater than 1; mapping the to-be-borne LO ODU to an ODTUCn.M payload region in an optical channel data tributary unit ODTUCn.M, wherein the ODTUCn.M comprises an ODTUCn.M overhead region and the ODTUCn.M payload region; packaging the mapping adaptation indication information into the ODTUCn.M overhead region; packing the ODTUCn.M into an corresponding optical channel transport unit OTUCn; and sending the OTUCn to receiving end equipment.
