[0019] figure 1 A device for measuring current and protecting electrochemical energy stores is shown. By way of example, a cell 1 of an electrochemical energy store is shown, with which a shunt Rs is arranged in series connection. The input of an operational amplifier OP as a measuring amplifier is arranged on this shunt Rs, while its output is connected to a microcontroller 12 as an evaluation unit. Two contactors 2 are arranged between the aforementioned elements and the respective electrical connections 4 , 5 of the electrochemical energy store.

[0020] figure 2 The electrical conductor 3 is shown, which is basically designed in the shape of a gate and a horseshoe. The first section 6 and the second section 8 are arranged substantially parallel to each other. It is passed through by the same current I which is conducted through the third section 7 between the first section 6 and the second section 8 . A gradient sensor with a bridge circuit 20 substantially parallel ...

Abstract

An arrangement for determining characteristic variables of an electrochemical energy store is proposed. Said arrangement comprises a gradient sensor with a bridge circuit comprising anisotropic magnetoresistive resistance elements. The arrangement additionally comprises a conductor through which a current from the energy store flows during operation of the energy store. In this case, the conductor is provided with a first section set up to primarily magnetically influence a first side of the bridge circuit and is provided with a second section set up to primarily magnetically influence a second side of the bridge circuit. The first section and the second section are arranged with respect to the bridge circuit in such a manner that a flow of current through the conductor produces a measurable electrical voltage across the bridge circuit.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a device for determining a plurality of characteristic quantities of an electrochemical energy store. In particular, the invention relates to the possibility of increasing the robustness and cost-effective integration of the measurement functionality in the connections of an electrochemical energy store. Background technique [0002] In order to determine different battery quantities (eg state of charge, charging current, etc.), a plurality of current sensors are usually arranged in the battery. These current sensors have hitherto been designed as shunt sensors or Hall sensors. Although these known devices are relatively inexpensive, their immunity to interference is not sufficient for every application purpose. Furthermore, their integration into electrochemical energy stores is not sufficiently simple and cost-effective to implement. For example, a shunt must be integrated into the current flow of an electrochemical energy...
