The invention discloses a media playing method, equipment and a music teaching system. The media playing device includes a receiving unit, an audio decoding unit, a video decoding unit, an audio playing unit and a video playing unit. The receiving unit is adapted to receive audio data and video data. The audio decoding unit is adapted to decode the audio data to obtain audio frames. Each audio frame includes a plurality of audio samples and a first timestamp. The first time stamp is the collection time of the audio frame. The video decoding unit is adapted to decode video data to obtain video frames. Each video frame includes a second time stamp corresponding to its acquisition time. The audio playing unit is adapted to play the audio samples and calculate the time value of the currently played audio samples.
