Abstract

The invention provides a protection system for preventing an elevator car from moving by accident. The protection system comprises an elevator state monitoring module, an elevator car accidental movement processing module and a braking signal execution module, wherein the elevator car accidental movement processing module is connected with the elevator state monitoring module and the braking signal execution module. The protection system can protect the elevator car in accidental movement independent of an elevator control system, monitor elevator state signals comprehensively, and perform monitoring and quick protection on accidental movement, caused by abnormal elevator speed, an elevator braking fault, an elevator control system software fault, failure in running signal output by an elevator, an excessive number of passengers in the elevator car and ineffectiveness of elevator door lock monitoring, of the elevator car.
