Problems solved by technology

Although this method can improve the adaptability and ease of use of the traffic statistics method, only a few companies currently support VPLS, and this method can only count the traffic of access users

Embodiment 1

[0055] Please refer to Figure 1-3, Embodiment 1 of the present invention provides a traffic statistics method based on a local area network. The devices in the local area network include a routing device 2, a client 3 and a statistical device 1, and the devices outside the local area network include a server end 4, such as figure 2 as shown, figure 2 The solid line in the figure indicates the connection relationship between devices, and the dotted line indicates the direction of data transmission between devices, and the data transmission between devices is bidirectional. The flowchart of the method is as image 3 shown, including the following steps:

[0056] S1: Statistical device 1 obtains the IP addresses and physical addresses of all devices in the LAN, and stores them in its own ARP cache table; specifically: Statistical device 1 scans all IP addresses in the LAN segment, and sends the scanned IP addresses to the LAN When the devices in the local area network recei...

Embodiment 2

[0069] Please refer to Figure 4-5 , a traffic statistics system based on a LAN, including an acquisition module 5 and a modification module 6 .

[0070] The acquisition module 5 is arranged on the statistical device 1, and is used for the statistical device 1 to obtain the IP addresses and physical addresses of all devices in the local area network, and store them in the ARP cache table of the statistical device 1; the acquisition module 5 includes a scanning unit 51 and receiving storage unit 52;

[0071] The scanning unit 51 is used for the statistics device 1 to scan the IP address of the LAN segment, and send the IP address to all devices in the LAN, and the all devices include the routing device 2 and the client 3 connected to the routing device 2;

[0072] The receiving storage unit 52 is used for the statistics device 1 to receive the IP addresses and physical addresses fed back by all devices and store them in the ARP cache table of the statistics device 1 .

Abstract

The invention discloses a traffic counting method and a traffic counting system based on a local area network. The method comprises the following steps: a counting device acquires the IP addresses and the physical addresses of all devices in a local area network, and stores the IP addresses and the physical addresses in an ARP cache table thereof; and the counting device modifies the physical addresses of all the devices in the ARP cache table to the physical address of the counting device based on the ARP cache table. By arranging the counting device and modifying the physical addresses of a routing device and a client in the ARP cache table to the physical address of the counting device, when a server and the client transmit a data packet to each other through the routing device, data flows through the counting device first, and the counting device can count the traffic. Therefore, when the routing device has no traffic counting function, the traffic of the devices in the local area network can be counted without replacing the routing device.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of network flow statistics, in particular to a method and system for flow statistics based on a local area network. Background technique [0002] At present, the LAN traffic statistics can only be counted by the router to count the traffic of each device connected to the router. If the router does not have the traffic statistics function, or does not support traffic interface query, you can only choose to replace a smart router to count the traffic. However, smart routers generally count the traffic by counting the data packets passing through the router, but if the data does not pass through the router, it cannot be counted. [0003] In the patent document with the application number 201010149663.1, a method and device for counting access traffic are disclosed. The method includes the following steps: the PE device receives the traffic message; the virtual private local area network service VPLS access method accordi...
