Abstract

The process comprises the following steps: (1) a tooth gap is calculated according to the size of a workpiece to be machined; (2) if the tooth gap is less than 2 mm, the tooth number is reduced according to integral multiples from 2, and a new tooth gap is increased by multiples until the new tooth gap is more than 2 mm; (3) integral multiples of tool electrodes are produced with the integral multiples, calculated in the step (2), as number and with the new tooth gap as tooth space; and starting teeth of the tool electrodes are respectively from tooth number 1 to integral multiples of the tooth number; and (4) the different tool electrodes produced in the step (3) are used for respectively machining mold cavities. The new tooth gap calculated in the step (2) is in an optimal range of 2-3 mm. The process is skillful in design, convenient for machining of the tool electrodes and low in equipment requirements, guarantees the machining precision and the machining cost of the disc tooth-shaped mold cavity, and radically solves the machining difficulty of the disc tooth-shaped water filter piece mold cavity.
