The method comprises the following steps: obtaining mapping relationships between IP addresses of various terminal equipment on a network and configured DNSes thereof; for each DNS, obtaining attribution places of one or more IP addresses corresponding to the DNS determined according to the relationships, and obtaining the number of the terminal equipment of the various attribution places through statistics; and processing the number, obtained through the statistics according to a preset safety strategy, of the terminal equipment of the various attribution places corresponding to the DNS, and identifying safety of the DNS according to a processing result.
