Benefits of technology

This technology helps reduce harm from contamination during farming operations while still allowing for accurate research on genetically modified crops or plants that are resistant to disease outbreaks. It also simplifies the process of identifying new strains early enough to prevent future diseases.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical problem addressed in this patents relates to identifying wheat sicknesses from infected fields without causing contamination during conventional treatment procedures like pesticides. Existing techniques have limitations including complicated operations requiring injection of suspended substances, lack of visibility within certain regions, difficulty in obtaining sufficient samples for analysis, and potential exposure hazards associated with handling harmful chemical agents.

Abstract

The invention relates to the field of grain seed selection and breeding, and discloses a safe and quick identification method of wheat scab. By using a self-made wheat ear culture box, isolated culture and observation are performed to prevent the possible environmental pollution caused by field inoculation. The method overcomes the defect of difficulty in field operation before. The method optimizes the experimental culture steps and identification standard, and only needs data records of the fifth day, thereby shortening the identification period as compared with the past field inoculation which requires the 14-21-day recording period, and determining the disease resistance of the species earlier.
