The hydraulic arrangement comprises a first hydraulic machine for a slewing gear of an excavator and a second hydraulic machine for a cantilever of the excavator. When the slewing gear is braked and when the cantilever is lowered, a flywheel can be driven by a corresponding mechanism to recover the energy. The arrangement is configured in such a way that the energy stored in the flywheel is then usable for the cantilever but is not useable for the slewing gear.
