The invention discloses a virtual terminal assisted automatic design method based on equipment encoding.An input virtual terminal set and an output virtual terminal set of a to-be-designed device are constructed; relevance pairs composed of receiving devices and transmitting devices in SCD template files and virtual connection sets of the relevance pairs are constructed; relevance pairs of the current to-be-designed device are generated; a template relevance pair the same as encodes of the receiving device and the sending device of a current to-be-designed relevance pair is found out; all template virtual connection in a template virtual connection set of the template relevance pair is processed one by one; a corresponding template relevance pair, with the largest connection number, of a temporary virtual connection set serves as a best match target relevance pair of the current to-be-designed relevance pair, virtual connection meeting the filtering condition is added into an automatically-generated virtual connection set of the current to-be-designed relevance pair; processing continues on a next to-be-designed relevance pair till all current to-be-designed relevance pairs are processed, workloads are reduced, and the intelligent degree, accuracy rate and work efficiency of virtual terminal design are improved.
