Abstract

A pressure sensing touch system is disclosed for identifying touch events caused by pressure applied at a touch location. The system includes a light guide plate, a light output plate, a light source subsystem, a plurality of interference plates, a plurality of detectors, and a controller. When the pressure is applied at the touch location, the intensity distribution of the output light exiting the two second through openings of the interference plate changes. The plurality of detectors are configured to detect the change. The controller is configured to identify the touch event based on detection by the plurality of detectors.
