Abstract

The invention provides a flow path calculating method and device. The method is applied in an SDN (Software Defined Networks) controller. The method comprises following steps of obtaining device region numbers of a source switch device and an objective switch device, wherein the device region numbers indicate regions to which the switch devices belong; calculating intra-region paths and inter-region paths of the regions passing from the source switch device to the objective switch device when it is determined that the source switch device and the objective switch device belong to different regions according to the device region numbers; and adding up the intra-region paths and inter-region paths according to the sequence of the regions passing from the source switch device to the objective switch device, thus obtaining a flow path. According to the method and the device, the convergence rate of the flow path is improved, and the integral stability and transmission efficiency of the network are improved.
